My MOOC on culture of services is going to start in a few weeks again. This time it is self-paced, which means that you can take it anytime. If you have wondered why you feel nervous when ordering wine at an upscale restaurant, why the notion of hospitality gives you uneasy feelings, and why coffee shops call their coffee grande, venti or enorme, this MOOC is for you. I will explain why services are often paradoxical: The more expensive the service is, the less “service” you receive.
