Directions
The nearest international airport is Kansai International Airport (KIX). You can take a JR (Japan Railway) train called Haruka to Kyoto Station. From there, you can take a bus, a taxi or a subway.
If you transfer through Tokyo (either Narita or Haneda), you can fly to Itami (ITM) as well as KIX. From Itami, you can take a bus to Kyoto Station (some buses go to several other parts in Kyoto after Kyoto Station).
There are shared vans from these airports. The van takes longer but goes directly to your hotel.
